WOOOOO!

Perhaps this will teach the media not to crown a champion before the game is actually played. ... Nah.

Iowa State's loss notwithstanding, would someone like to comment on how badly the Big 12 "sucked" this year? wink

Re: It's College Football Time, Kiddos!

I don't know about the Big 12, but all of my teams (college and pro) have had a bad year.
Last night's game pretty well summed it up for most of my fav. teams (most notably the Arkansas Razorbacks) in that they play well through most of the game, but near the end they play it safe while the other teams fights for a win.
When are people going to learn, even if you're winning with just a few minutes left, you have to keep aggressively trying to score.

Hogs - lot of close games, but few wins and now probably won't be getting Mitch Mustain.
Arkansas State (my alma mater!) - finally got to a bowl game but played like fools against a small school
UCLA - was good for a while, then fell apart
USC - the best hope for keeping the hated Longhorns from a Nat. Champion, lost
St. Louis Rams - sucked all year, then they fire their hospitalized coach the day after the season ends (that's class)
Oakland Raiders - figured out way too late that they needed a new quarterback (or at least a back up!) and some defense.

Re: It's College Football Time, Kiddos!

All I can say is the hype machine cannot be stopped. I noticed how they had their script ready and rolling, they just switched "USC" to "Texas" and "Reggie Bush" to "Vince Young." Honestly, it was impossible to tell who the hell the hype was building for before the game after the game, all the talking heads sounded the same! "I've just seen the best college football game the world will ever seen! This was better than Jesus!" Also, this is terrible, b/c I will have to endure the WHINING and COMPLAINING of USC blowhards who claim Vince Young's knee was down in the first half (which it was; you CANNOT deny that one, folks). Also, if USC won, Lendale White and Reggie Bush would go pro, and Cal would have an easier time beating USC this year.

ONE MORE THING! Vince Young might (might!) be better than Michael Vick. Of course, I don't think he'd be a good fit at Houston (they already have a good QB), but the Saints should build a team around Vince Young. They just gotta get a better O-line (and there are gonna be some huge ones coming).

I agree with the above statement.

Football commentary is crap.

Yes, and Reggie Bush pushed Matt Leinart into the end zone against Notre Dame, which is cheating.  The other was simply a missed call.  I'd rather have a call missed for or against me than to blatantly break the rules to win a game.
