Need help with UT2003
I just re-installed UT2003 and was trying to look for a match to jump in on. Unfortunately, when I queried the master server, no servers were found hosting games. I replaced my newly installed .ini with an old .ini that had my favorites. From that I found a server that was hosting a match but when I tried to connect it said I needed the latest patches. I am patched to V2225.2.
My question are:
Are there any more servers hosting 2003, how do I query the master server to find them?
Do I need anymore patches? If not what is causing the error message from above

If I understand you correctly, I think I am having the EXACT same problem as you. While ago, whenever I go to multi-player, it looks for the master server, but never finds it! I know it's not my connection because I had 1 favorite saved which I am easily able to connect to and play on. I'm using 2225.3
I was going to try and do a re-install, from my disk, but when I put in my CD-Key, the installer crashes! What's going on?!

2225 is the last patch for UT2003. You really should bite the bullet and get UT2004, you will get a lot more active games anyway.

Ditto on upgrading. 2004 feels so much more polished than 03 did.
I wish I could help more. Epic may have changed the IP of the 03 Master Servers. Poke around the unrealtournament.com forums. The answer maybe there. If you post the issue be prepared for similar answers. Why play 03 when you could play 04.

Also make sure under the Filters tab you set everything to Any and especially uncheck Only Standard Servers. Including passworded servers a quick census shows:
77 DM
21 TDM
5 DD
16 CTF
11 BR
5 INV
0 LMS
0 MUT
Like others have said — spring for UT2K4.
