Re: O'Reilly, misinformation, and 'Brokeback Mountain'
I don't follow DC as much as Marvel. The Pied Piper is the only DC character I'm familiar with who is gay. Know of any others?
I still believe in liberalism today as much as I ever did, but, oh, there was a happy time when I believed in liberals.

Batman and Robin, but they're still in the closet.

Wonder Woman has a boyfriend. They don't call it "Paradise Island" for nuthin', though.
Paradise for Lesbian Amazons, anyway.

I'm already wearing a crash-helmet. This thread quickly got pretty weird, after that Spider-Girl picture got posted.
Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet." They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew.

Good question. It's not like Sappho was a goddess or anything.

Re: O'Reilly, misinformation, and 'Brokeback Mountain'
I saw it twice this weekend, once with a friend (straight) and my little brother (straight), also with my ex (guess). I thought it was really, really good. It felt like they had left out a lot of sexual content, especially compared to movies of the same genre. The movie is still incredible and daring, even if tamed.

Is there a need to specify the sexuality of people one goes to view this movie with?

Well obviously not in every case, but I don't think his comment was without merit.
He was demonstrating that heterosexuals are viewing (and enjoy) the film.

My wife and I both thought it was amazing.
Really sad and beautiful. We talked about it for hours afterwards.

I guess I ask because it's not the first time I've seen it. In a couple of reviews I've read men have felt the need to state this apparently.
