You mean it is more exciting to look at photoshop all day then play the latest game?

Re: New Intel TV Ad
Apple knows this will pissoff people who know better, this ad is aimed at the koolaid kids who have already washed their brains of all objectivity.
After breaking my leg I sat in the local ER where a protable X-ray machine snapped my bone picture and almost instantly it was beamed to the Dell notebook in the room. 2 min later the doc comes in checking out my x-ray.
5 min after that the Dull Dell printed out aftercare instructions and my percriptions.
I happend to have a USB drive on my keychain, I plugged in and a few seconds later had all my x-rays... which I planed on loading on to my surgeons Dell a week later. The cool thing is Dell has set up a Dr. Network, everything my surgeon needed from the ER room was a few clicks away.. he already had my x-rays before I got there.
But I guess Steve thinks helping to save life and limb is "dull"... lol
Plenty of professionals who know better will laugh in his face, certainly the ER staff at St. Joes who raved about their Dell set up, one nurse flat out said it saves them lots of time and gets vital information to the Doctors in seconds rather than minutes. How dull, making ER workers lives easier. Intel should be embarassed.
Next time you or a family member recieves speedy care at a Dell networked hosp, send Billy and Mike a big "thanks"... and be sure to tell them your mac is more exciting, I'm sure they'll all drool and run to the Apple store.
I hope AMD jumps aboard and agrees with Apple, "Yup, Apple is right... dont be a dull boy: Got AMD?"

That's pretty amazing actually. But is that something that could only be done with the Dells, or did it just happen to be done with Dells?

Data = data = data. Any computer could read the data from the x-ray machine, convert it to a graphic format and throw it up on a display device or printer. The only considerations are A) has it been programmed to do just that and B) how fast can it crunch all the data (I bet the x-ray puts out a lot more detail than our human eye will read off the final image. - so I for one would prefer running it through a modern computer, rather than a 68040 or 486 based machine
)

Photoshop, Final Cut, After Effects; you name it
Not that games aren't fun. . . but all day? Ech. It'd be easy enough to do. . . but I'd feel like smurf at the end of the day.

While my wife was in labor with my second son, the Dell PC BSOD'd. They actually told her to stop pushing so they could reboot.

Re: New Intel TV Ad
Does anyone remember the ads Intel had a few years ago with the guys in the blue and red "bunny suit" dancing around promoting how great Intel chips were. More important, does anyone remember the parody Apple did with the one bunny guys on fire because he was "toasted by the G3"?
http://live.watchmactv.com/flash/094/
Now that was a good commercial
Personally I think the new Intel commercial is kind of lame for Apple standards.
