There's an Adium dock icon of an emo Adium bird. I almost chose it the other day for a change.

Re: Emo Discussions

ok, im not emo, and to tell the truth, i really dont agree with labels, and it may make me sound like a hypocrite when you read the rest of my post.

I have a real issue when people say that 'emo' guys are gay. i mean, just because they have long hair, kiss other guys and wear tight pants, doesnt mean theyre gay,  it just means they have good fashion sense and are usually smurfing hot.

i also have a problem with people sterotyping by saying 'emo's sit in corners and cut themselves' CUTTING IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM. having been through that phase, i know how hard it is, and how hard it is to quit. once you've done it once, it takes hold of you and takes over your life. I think it's completely out of order when people call emo's sick because they cut themselves. Theyre the sick one's for being so damn shallow and not seeing that it's serious. Please guys, dont hate. haters make cutters cut.

Cheers, Ella xx

Kissing another guy usually makes one gay, unless they're family. And then, not if tongue is involved.

Ah I've seen them both already, but I would still go just to see Showbread and Copeland.

Re: Emo Discussions

Holy smurf, if I could go, I would. I'm not Christian, but what a line-up. If you go, make sure to check out UnderOath, they'll be playing stuff from their new album that is absolutely incredible. As will The Chariot. Ihear tell that MxPx puts on a pretty badass show, if you're into pop-punk.
Bands to Avoid:
Becoming The Archetype
The Showdown
P.O.D
No Innocent Victim

Also, Chasing Victory kicks ass. I think phydeaux is a fan

Hey I just picked up sullivan's debut album. Hey, I'm A Ghost. It is terrific.  Not to mention underoath's Spencer Chamberlain's bro is the drummer for sullivan. It rocks my emo socks.

Re: Emo Discussions

so do you like Maylene, And The Sons of Disaster? It's Dallas' new band. It's kickass. I saw them live with Jonzetta, Family Force Five(suck), and He Is Legend.

incidentally, I was just listening to Dictatorship vs. Democracy, and it crashed my iTunes. I don't know why.

So how does the new one taste compared to the last album?

I see they changed their motif again.

AND RUFIO IS MISSING THEM IN CONCERT RIGHT NOW. INSANE.

When I saw them at Ichthus, I had them sign a skateboard blank that I have hanging up in the youth center, along with one signed by Skillet, but alas...

And I want that zip hoodie.

He Is Legend in general makes me laugh.
Schuyler looks like a hobo.
The guitarist looks like a skin head.
They all come out to the imperial march at the start of their shows
They always have a dance break mid set. They don't play any music, instead they put on some weird techno song and Schuyler dances while the other band members rest for about 2 minutes.
Their merch guy has the greatest handle bar mustache since the late 1800's.

awesome dudes.
awesome music.

They almost were booed off the stage at the opening to a System of a Down show I went to. Yeah, it was a bunch of System of a Down fans, but it was still uncalled for.
