iMovie/iDVD question...
First off, I'm new. I just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Sam. I own a G4 iBook Superdrive.
Here's my problem. For the past few weeks, I've been working on a project in iMovie HD. I'm not done yet, but the project is already 5.8 gigabytes! When I'm finally done with the project, I want to burn it to a DVD using iDVD. The discs that I have only hold 4.7 gigabytes. Burning this project to a DVD is really important for me.
So, what should I do?
I'd appreciate any help given. Thank you.

Re: iMovie/iDVD question...
Welcome to the Forums!
iDVD will automatically make the movie smaller. DVDs use MPEG-2 compression (which is much smaller) than DV (which is what video cameras and iMovie use).
Just use the Send to iDVD button and you'll be fine. It will take a while though - leaving it over night is best.

I'm still trying to figure out if you're a girl posing as Macboy4139, or a boy posing as a girl, and a bit confused sexually. <shrug> laughinol

That's a load off of my shoulders. If I have any further problems, I'll be sure to post them on this message board!

Re: iMovie/iDVD question...
Sorry about reviving this topic, but I have another question pertaining to iMovie.
Okay, the videos that I took are on my computer, and they take up a lot of space. But when I put those movies on iMovie, it takes up even more space! Is it possible for me to delete the original copies of the videos and still have them intact on iMovie?
