I'm a poor 60, only got about 85G right now, been up and down around 100G for awhile. I got a few rare items in leatherworking I can make but none of them yet can rake in the big $$$ to justify traveling all over to get mats for em. Would like to get into an MC, ZG, BWL raid to see what those drop but I never can get into those. I have found something to farm in UBRS that has netted me a bit of profit. Which reminds me, I need to get into another UBRS run so I can skin somemore.

My level 47 Mage has about 70g right now.  Started out as Tailor/Enchanter and was basicly
broke all the time (<5g at any time).  Dumped Tailoring for Mining and over the last month
or so saved enough for my mount by selling metal bars in AH, and the gems that I can't use
that I get from Mining.  Every time I get something that can sell at AH, I do it.  Usually I can
get 3-10x what a vendor will pay for an item, if a profession can use it.  My next character
will be Herbalism/ Alchemy or Mining.  I hate being low on cash, and many good items
can be bought at AH for a decent price (considering time involved in farming mats).  I am also a
chronic pack rat.  I grab everything that drops and sell it.

I have 200g, and another 60g pending on the AH.

My current farming technique is to go through MC after my guild has cleared all the way up to past domo, or right before Sulfuron. This gives access to veins around bosses that would nomally be harder to get. I can then solo smelt the ore into bars getting me more gold than just from ore alone. The costs of this depend on how lucky I am with noggefoggers for slowfall, and getting through a few lava runs, as well as stealthing by some of the nasties in MC. However I can make around 60g/h this way. And twice as much if I manage to get a Blood of the Mountain.

I don't have an epic mount yet.

My prior goldmaking schemes have included: Sniper Scopes, Buying Arcane Crystals and Thorium and getting it muted for around 3-4g profit per bar (I didn't like that very much, because the prices fluctuated like mad), and most despicably selling stacks of 200 and 100 Thorium Shells for the same price, it worked most of the time too, but I stopped that because the price of thorium has shot up.

I'm pretty poor atm.. around 100g total on my main server, Archimonde. After buying 2x epic mounts, materials for my robe of the archmage, leather for orb of the darkmoon, AV rewards for my warrior and mage, I'm pretty poor. I never really had a lot of cash at one time - the most I've ever had is 800g at one time, right before I bought each epic mount. I've probably spent well over 2k gold on mounts and gear alone.

I recently picked up the Belt of the Archmage pattern, so I'm hoping to start making some money with that.

i'm at a low gold point cause i have been farming much. i havent had need for a lot of money up to this point, but i've found i can make some good cash from selling iron bars/coarse stone. its pretty easy to farm if you run up and down the edge of arathi and then go down into the wetlands for the tin mines, smelt it in thelsamar or whatever that village is, and then fly to IF to sell it.

Also the whole war effort did help alot for everyone, I think it was a way to fix the economy on servers, cause alot of low lvl mats where selling for 4 times the regular price, and I was one of those that paid alot of gold for those mats, I think I must of spent 200g+ and it helped in 3 ways, I got Revered with Thunderbluff and got lots of green items for DE, and those buffs. So I had about 70+ greens I gave them to a friend and got Enchanting to 270 in one day, he did that for a trinklet that gives you  150 armor and a bunch of stuff, I dont know the name of it, if anyone is interested I can look it up.

Also if you are a hunter and you are a skinner, you should be hunting Devilsaur, if you arent already doing it, I pay 30g per stack of 10, I have a guy that sends me 5 stacks in one day, so I can make sets, BUT if you get mats 8 Devilsaur Leather, 30 Rugged Leather and 1 Runetread, and have a Tribal Leather Worker to craft them you might be making double maybe even more, the crafting fee should not be more then 5g. Same for Leggins, 14 Devilsaur Leather, 30 Rugged Leather, 1 Cured Rugged Hide and 1 Runethread, I used to sell them for 100g now, the prices have dropped, but it might be different on your server. So if you skinn, you can be making lots of gold, and please, please, dont undercut.

I'm about to go down and hunt me some. Getting my leatherworking skill up to 300 first. Think i'm at 295 now. Just went and farmed a lil chimera leather, made some of those to up my lw skill. Was trying to farm some warbear leather but its got crap drop rates. Think after all the work I did I came out with 17 chimera leather and 7 warbear . Good thing was I ran into a friend in Winterspring who said she'd farm me a lil warbear while she was out there with her hunter character on another day.

You can use the warbear leather to make a Warbear Harness and sell it for 15g for sure, or more depends on your server, I sold some for 20g also you might wanna check AH, people dont know what to do with that leather so they just put it up at AH for cheap, to get patterns you need to be frendly with Timberl.... I forget the name.

After reading this thread, I decided to do a bit of farming. That's what both Yattlejack and Snackbilly will be doing this weekend.

I'm broke. I've got like 70g on my 60 mage right now.

I've been funneling all my money into buying runecloth to get exalted with Darnassus. I'm almost done though.

Also made some bad AH investments this past few days that cost me a few hundred gold.

If all my AH inventory sold though, I would have about 3 thousand gold.

I'm too lazy to advertise my enchanting and alchemy services, so I never sell any of that stuff.
