If you're willing to give up mobility, sure.  Otherwise I might wait and see what new laptops are waiting in the wings from Apple.

It is an odd thing, but every one who disappears is said to be seen at San Francisco. It must be a delightful city, and possess all the attractions of the next world.

Realize that the Intel Mac requires new software, or downloads.
Some companies may offer for free.
Others will charge.
Apple it was indicated will charge $49 for software upgrades.
Also wait to see if any problems arise with the Intel Mac.

Nah.  Everybody has a slightly different situation and new software updates come online all the time.

Team Folding:  Most Intel Mac users can upgrade to Folding@Home version 6.26.1

Most will offer for free. Many shareware or freeware are mactel compatible already. It looks like only bigware like Adobe suites or FCP that plan to release mactel compatible only at the next major release of their apps.
