Digital camera
I read an article a while ago about how you can hook your digital camera up to your Mac and it (the Mac) will display everything the camera lens sees on your computer screen. I've tried looking through my old magazines but I can't seem to find it. Anyone know what I'm talking about and/or how to do it?

Re: Digital camera
i remember that article. there were some settings in image capture that made it work. but what, i don't remember. try messing with prefs>sharing>share this camera>web sharing. i tried it with mine as soon as i read it, but it didn't work. the lens doesn't come out when the camera is plugged into the computer. just remember that your camera may not work.

Re: Digital camera
Well I set those settings but I still can't figure out how to see what's on the camera on the computer screen.

Re: Digital camera
I needed to record an experiment using a web camera. The problem is that after 9.25 minutes the computer (G4 titanium & G5) started processing the input; end of experiment. I just didn't need the 30 frames/sec. I found iSightWeb, a shareware for $20 at www.ribuoli.it, which worked great. It allowed me to add the time to the frame, set the intervals, motion detector, etc. Not bad for $20. It may work for you.
I hope in the next version they drop the minimum time interval to less than 10 seconds.

Re: Digital camera
Either the camera is webcam capable or it isn't. that's about it.
If you look around the table and can't tell who the sucker is, it's you.
