foreign univerisity
I'm finsihing up as a high school senoir, and just discovered that schools in new zealand are really really cool and surprisingly good. Univerisity of Auckland is ranked 49th in the world, and another in chrsitchurch is goregous. Has anyone here had experiences with foreign universities( btw I'm American) or the british college system in general? I'm really excited about these schools but my parents (who are paying) are concerned that a froeign degree won't be recognized in the US. I don't think its a big deal though, the rest of the world uses the rest of the British system...right? score 1 for Colonization!
Anyways, I thought it would be cool to hear peoples foreign study stories, or any advice they can give about new zealand schools/getting forgein degrees recognized.

Re: foreign univerisity
I have heard that Auckland is not a very appealing city. No advice on degrees though.
Where did you read the university ranking?

Re: foreign univerisity
To be honest, I can't remember, but it looked fairly legitimate based on the other schools and their positions on the list.
What kind of things have you heard about Auckland? I don't really know much about new Zealand and the school seemed decent. I do really like the pictures and descriptions i've read about the south island, and the city christchurch and the uni there. The main reason I posted here was that I knew alot of AU people come through and was hoping you guys could give me a different perspective. Any information about New Zealand espically Auckland and Canterbury would be great.
