w00t! Wireless owns j00!
Hehe. My mom bought an AirPort card and a Linksys EtherFast Wireless Router and it rocks 
I bought the Linksys, since AirPort Base Stations cost almost $500 Cdn, whereas the Linksys is roughly $130 with rebate.
Now to move it upstairs

Those toxic fumes can really damage delicate electronics.

I have Airport on my Dual 867. Of course i don't NEED it, but then i don't NEED my ipod or my Sony Ericsson T68i OR this computer, but its a good bragging advantage to PC people "my tower has wireless internet, WHAT? you say your using a dial up modem? HAHAHA"
I'll take my airport card out of my tower when i get my TiBook and relocate it into the TiBook....the laptop will "need" wireless more then my tower

I can do the same without a wireless connection. Ofcourse i have a very long ethernet cable and my dad's iBook to do that.
Altivec, when you're finished, does you computer say "you've got mail" ?

My cable is connected to LAN upstairs but my XBox is connected to my 52" Panasonic downstairs. There is no LAN cable downstairs. How am I to play on XBox Live? No problem. My Airport base station is upstairs hooked into my LAN and covers the house nicely. My TiBook with an Airport card, of course, gets hooked up to the XBox downstairs. It is set not to sleep and share its internet connection. Bingo. XBox Live. No problem.

We got a new 27" flat tube Toshiba yesterday, it's pretty nice.
I was thinking about getting Airport for my cube, but we already have e-net running to the room it's in, and there are 2 iBooks draining the basestation's bandwidth...
Cutting it in thirds would REALLY slow down file transfers

I've been wireless for over a year now and love it. Made it nice when I was stuck in the bed from Hell and didn't have to have all of the wires getting tangled up with my Pismo. And it was really nice to take it out in the back yard when the weather was good and just surf or chat.
I have the Airport Card and a Linksys WAP.

Is it possible to do USB Printer Sharing in OS X.1.5 like in 9?
Or in Jaguar for that matter?

Books, I know that you can in Jag but I'm not sure about anything before that. In Jag select System Preferences then Sharing and under the Services tab check the Printer Sharing box. In Print Center select [b]Preferences

Doc, I had a similar setup in my old apartment with my PS2. DSL Modem -> Switch -> Linksys Router -> Linksys WAP -> Wireless card in PC laptop -> crossover cable from laptop to PS2. I was able to get a nice connection from it, and not too much lag in the Madden 2k3 demo.

One more question for Morg: Did you get WEP working with your Linksys WAP and AirPort Card? I just cannot get the 2 to work.
Edit - I found a Tech Info Article that seems to tell me what's going on. I'm now d/ling the latest AirPort update

Wished I could help you there. But thanks for the link, very informative. I am more of a plug and play person and I plugged in the airport card, plugged in the WAP, and have been playing ever since.
I have had 0 problems with it though, I did get an super long eithernet cable and put the wap in the middle of the house and I can get reception across the street at my neighbors house. But like I said earlyer, I loved sitting out in the backyard in that POC wheelchair I was stuck in for a while being able to get some freash air and sun and chatting and surfing and playing online.
