I did get a good laugh out of the networking one.
It was also the nicest to watch.

10 seconds before someone makes a mock commercial where the PC can play games and the Mac can't.
9... 8...
In and around the lake,
Mountains come out of the sky
And they stand there!

The PC looks like a cross between Gates and Ballmer. The Mac looks vaguely like Wyle and Jobs.
Fancy that.

Re: The New Mac Commercial!
Those commercials are great!
From a video production and marketing standpoint, those commercials are absolutely amazing. There is practically no production cost involved. (one small, empty, white studio; three actors; three changes of clothes) All six commercials were probably shot in one half-day session. No post-production or effects to speak of. And these commercials are going to rock the computer world. Apple took off the gloves and did so in such a cool and entertaining way. Talk about "bang for your buck".
There are going to be a lot of angry PC zealots tomorrow.

The PC Guy is John Hodgman. He's on The Daily Show sometimes, and is also a cool author. Check out www.areasofmyexpertise.com.
I think the new ads are great.

It was pretty funny. Play off viruses on PCs vs Macs. ....
Prison Break was good tonight.
Luckily I was taping it and caught the Virus ad. It was hilarious (especially since the family Dell is almost unusable now because of viruses, etc., while my iBook is just fine). Then it hit me that I was watching an actual tv commercial for a Mac by Apple; about time!
Runs off to watch the rest...

Heh, apple is now showing the ads on the front page.
I gotta say, those were pretty funny...

While I think it's good to make ads for the Mac, I find the continuous poking at the PC a bit cheap. Macs crash too, and that other gizmo from japan probably works only on PC.
Me too want's a new camera from japan though.

More like now, I've already started propagating the link through MSN, GTalk and AIM.
These are probably the funniest and most well thought out ads Apple has come up with in a long time.
Anyone want to start a virus countdown though?

The great TV spots aside, the Get a Mac campaign website throwing down the gauntlet at Microsoft and malware authors big time.
I've highlighted some of the more aggressive passages in my blog.
Definitely great to see Apple rising to the challenge of confronting Microsoft directly (...while at the same time working with Microsoft in promoting cross-platform Office
).

Lol thats in there not to piss off MS, but also to point out to the 100% of Windows users that don't realise MS: Office has ALWAYS run on a Mac. (If memory servers me correctly it first debuted on a Mac)
Well I think I'll go and install that free Mac antivirus (Someone got a name?) and reconfigure my firewall on that note.

Yeah...I figured as much, but it's interesting to see the demeanor of the ad isn't really mean-spirited -- it just plays out as a backhanded compliment.

Re: The New Mac Commercial!
I dunno. I don't think I like them.
There will be viruses eventually.
I've had to restart lots of times.
How about some real facts for why the Mac is better.
iLife is great but they imply that there is no way to do these things on a peecee.
Digital cameras are one thing, but there are far more peripherals that are NOT compatible.
WSJ...I dig it!
Don't get me wrong, I don't disagree with them at all. I'm just thinking about all of the discussions that are surely going on right now about how these commercials are bullsmurf and Mac users are retards. They might persuade my Grandmother to buy a Mac (if she actually wanted a computer) but there's no way they'll convert my Dad.
