Does MacTheRipper silently quit in 10.4.6 for you?
Occassionally I make backup copies of commercial movie DVD's ( that I bought ).
When I was in TIGER 10.4.4 MacTheRipper ( 2.6.6 ) worked flawlessly.
Yesterday I tried MacTheRipper ( 2.6.6 ) in TIGER 10.4.6 it silently quit.
Therefore I was curious if it happens for you?
All other applications work without problems and yes I do the DiskWarrior/TechtoolPro/RepairPermissions faithfully ( obsessively ). So I feel that my Mac is in good health.

2.6.6 is full of little quirks and bugs. You'll just have to play around and see if you can get it working again.
Version 3 is beta at the moment (MTR 3 r13d) maybe best to hang on and get that when it's released!

What settings do you use in MTR 2.6.6?
For example, do you allow pre-scan or do you disable pre-scan?
Where do you save the "cracked" file ?

Re: Does MacTheRipper silently quit in 10.4.6 for you?
? enable PGC mode in Title/Chapter
PreScan
? Extract DVD-ROM Content (FULL DISK ONLY) cause I want it that way.
?Disable UOP's warning.
Disc highlited...
? De-Macrovision
New region ALL.
RCE Region OFF.
it's a full extraction.. I want 100% with the exception of Macrovision.
and never hadda problem with it or the burns from burned folders.
save location is Home>>Movies
and it will create it's own folder on rip.
Popcorn doesn't have a problem grabbing the folder and burning the DVD
