Ragefire Chasm
This looks to be a horde unique instance inside one of the main cities. In that, it reminds me of the Stockades. Have any alliance peeps ever tried to make it there . . just for the heck of it? It might be amusing to remove all armor and try to slowly navigate the city to that location. <Yes, boredom has arrived >

Yeah, I think some people go to it for kicks occasionally. I haven't though. I go to the ones in the barrens that undead one to the south east of undercity.

Re: Ragefire Chasm
I havent seen any Alliance in Ogrimmar for well... ever.
Plus, its kinda like in the center of the city, I would imagine its pretty hard to get that far in without being noticed.

Re: Ragefire Chasm
It happens now and then, at least on some servers. Usually its paladins, who will immune and run as far as they can.
I've been to the stockades on my horde character, but that was via an.. interesting route.

Half a dozen times? Maybe a few more
You basically have to walk right in front of the auction house, bank and flight point to get there, then down one of the main strips in town. Also it's pretty low level...15 or so, so the reward isn't really there. However if you're really bored go for it. I would be interested in hearing how it goes. If I was going to try it I'd probably enter the city from the western entrance. Not a whole lot of traffic at that entrance. It's a longer walk but everyone duels outside the other entrance generally adding even more people to try and get through.

(not entirley relevant, but still kind of funny
)
Heh, cant remember where I read this, but I saw something a while ago about some dude that let his buddy know his password, so he logged onto his friends account, put his mount, hearthstone and armor in the bank, got the guy either naked or in a dress or something crazy like that, ran into orig, got him on top of the AH and logged out.

Lets just say there's some unintentional but very interesting back entrances to Stormwind.

Re: Ragefire Chasm
I'd be really interested to find out if someone can do this. Obviously a stealth
toon would be able to have an advantage, but there are constant duels by the
AH and bank. You'd have to go pretty close to there even to get near that
enterance to the Drag. The west enterance would definately be the way to go.
I've done the instance, and it's pretty low level (17-20's can run it easy). A higher
level rouge could easily run it solo. I guess if one was bored it'd be fun to try, but
the rewards would be lame, outside of braging rights.
Outside of the instance is where Rouges and Warlocks get their training.
Prepress, where dreams go to die.

Re: Ragefire Chasm
All I'd be interested in was bragging rights. The western entrance you say? Thanks. Heh, I probably should start an Orc so I can firmly get the route in my mind before the trip.
I'm curious to hear of these unintended entrances to Stormwind.

Ah yeah, the terrain around Stormwind is kind of glitchy.

Re: Ragefire Chasm
as a horde having run both RFC and stockades, let me tell you RFC Is much much cooler than Stocks. It is like a merge between MC and ony's caves, with cool bosses, nice back story, and good design/texturing/layout. Stockades had 2 identical hallways, no named mobs, though I'm sure there are quests though I can't imagine what they were, being as I checked every mob to see names and found like at most 1 named mob, the rest were just random NPCs.
Getting into stocks was cool though, I took a noggenfogger to make me smaller and harder to find and just ran through the valley of heros all the way to the stockades with a RL friend who had played an ally giving me directions
Getting into RFC is in fact quite easy, as it is in the Cleft of Shadow, which is rather unoccupied by any PC's, and the NPC's there are low level enough to ignore, assuming your lvl 60 when you attempt this, as most are. Go into the WEST (back) entrance to Org, which you can access from The barrens by running up the river that makes the border between the Barrens and Durotar along the western shore, until you reach the bridge into Org. This takes you into the valley of spirits, which has not much value on a day to day basis, so should be quite empty. The road is wide too so you can ride relatively safe out of any guards aggro radius. Turn left at the end of the path, making sure not to fall down near the rope bridge that goes out to the windrider, and follow that path straight along the northern side of the rocks which form the outer wall of the cleft of shadow. Follow that down towards Thrall's Chamber, towards the valley of wisdom, but turn right into a small, dark cave and that is the back door to the cleft of shadow. Ride down into the Cleft where the warlock trainers and rogue trainers are, and on the far right side, lower than the path you rode in on, is the instance portal. GL soloing the lvl 18 instance
*note i wrote all this from memory, so it might be a little hazy though I'm usually quite exact about things like this in WoW*

Re: Ragefire Chasm
Hehe, I don't know what you guys are talking about, it's child's play to get in to ragefire.
I farmed linen there with my mage when Whisperwind was doing the AQ opening event.
All you have to do is go to the back entrance of orgrimar, there is a small bridge with a couple of guards. Just mount up and run right by them. Follow the path till you get to a huge open area on a level below you, this is sort of like Orgrimars trade district. Follow the path left being sure not to fall off the cliff, after you get out of that area, make a quick right turn into a little alcove/cave. In the back of this cave you will see the instance portal.
I've done it probably 6 or 7 times. Most people don't pay much attention to you and even if they see you your on your mount so there really isn't a whole lot they can do.
