The investigation about Haditha started in March following a report in Time magazine. The magazine quoted eyewitnesses and local officials who said that 15 civilians were killed when Marines went on a rampage.

I asked "but aren't some of the allegations coming from the Marines themselves?"

One or two of them took videos/photos of the bodies, when they were told to collect and move them.  I know that one of the Marine's mothers had spoken with the press about how this had affected her son.

Yes and I was responding to the assertion that this whole think to light came from marines, which it appears not to have.
