JK2 ... Who's still got it?

Hello. I've been reading your forums for about 4 months now (browsing and striking up an interest in Macs). I've ventured out to my friendly neighborhood Apple store probably 100 times, playing with the machinery. I'm glad to finally post.
I'm going to be finally getting the iMac, specifically the 20' with 2GB memory and 256MB vid card. I have been playing JK2 for 4 years now, and this is one thing that I'm concerned with when I switch. I haven't been able to find the Aspyr copy of JK2 anywhere. Winning them on eBay has been a major pain in the rear.
2 questions that I have:
1. Does anyone have a copy of JK2 that they don't use any more, and would be willing to sell?
2. I have heard that in order to play version 1.02, you need this Mac specific file. Does anyone know about this, or have the file?
Thanks.

Re: JK2 ... Who's still got it?
I've got JK2, but I still enjoy playing it, so I'm not ready to let it go yet
However, try half.com. No bidding required.
As for a Mac-specific file, I haven't needed one. There is a 1.03 patch, which you can find by going to http://www.aspyr.com/games.php/mac/jk2/ and clicking "Support"
Enjoy the new Mac

Re: JK2 ... Who's still got it?
Yeah, I can't find it ANYWHERE except eBay. Someone always bids like $30 for it, too steep for a 4 year old game, IMO.
Yo green, you still play JK2 huh? I assume the Mac version works like the Win version (ie, once you install a patch, it's like you go up a tier. I play the original Win version "1.02"). Hopefully, when I finally get it, I can play on the normal servers that I usually do. Especially since I own one of them.
Thanks. The hunt continues.

I didn't think that you can downgrade to 1.02, actually
It might be possible, though

BTW...
I got my iMac last week. 20" Intel, 2GB Kingston RAM, 256MB video
This computer is nothing short of awesome. The only reboots have been from software/firmware updates (mandatory). Completely not what I'm used to in the WinWorld.

Re: JK2 ... Who's still got it?
Ya know what Jupiter? I may be your buddy. I found my copy this weekend, and re-installed on the old G4. Thing is, I've been doing all of my gaming on a much newer PeeCee (I know, I feel dirty all the time) and the Mac just isn't doing as well as I'd like.
If I can find a copy for the PeeCee, I'll work a deal with ya to take the Mac version off my hands.
I'll PM or email you with details, since they frown on selling software throught forums here.

The one I lost was won for $23.50 and not by me.

It seems to me that finding the PC version is WAY easier. They're freakin' everywhere. I've been hunting the net for weeks now, can't find a thing. eBay is another story. I've been thinking about calling Aspyr to see if they can look and see if they have anything.

Oh. Thought you stole mine! just kidding. I remember when it used to be easy to win auctions on ebay.

So. Will we start playing JK2 again?

Well, it's been awhile. Anyone interested in seeing if we can take some rust off the sabers? Of either sort?
Interesting how things turn out isn't it?

I'm up for some JKIII if you catch me online sometime and I'm not busy (iChat: greenalge@mac.com). I'd be up for some JKII, but I seem to have misplaced my disc

Theres no selling on the forums here. Also while sig images are nice. Best to keep them within 400x100 or close to that. Seeing as you have 4 sig images, you'll be probably impending wrath from the mods.

Maybe not wrath, really, but- yes, the size is way over the limit. And there is no selling on the forums. It's a rule.
