A friend of mine is having probs with his G4 tower. He's been running OS X 10.3  on an external Seagate drive because one of the internal drives which he was running the OS on had died a few months ago. His other two internal HDs are running fine and has just media on it. What happened today is that his comp froze up while exporting to tape. And now the OS won't boot up at times. He tried using disk warriror to no avail.

Can he reinstall OSX on top of his current without having to reinstall all his applications?
