Poor image quality in iMovie
I have a 2003 G3 ibook (900mhz, 256mb ram, I think - don't have it with me right now) running on OS 10.2.4. I imported video from my Panasonic NVGS 70 3CCD mini DV camera into imovie. The resulting image quality is very poor. It looks like the number of horizontal lines in the image has been halved, or worse, with the effect that horizons or other horizontal lines have lots of very visible 'steps'. In imovie this does not bother me but when I burn to a DVD the image remains the same. I'm burning with Toast titanium on maximium quality. If I play the footage direct from the camera to a screen the images come out smooth and unpixelated so the camera is fine.
I'd be grateful if anyone has any ideas for me to try.
