Har! Those guys are SOOO out of step! Look at Palin!
They're neither army or gay. Or gay army.
Well, except for Chapman, of course.
I hope you & your crew can do better, Ribs.
We'll be expecting pics, of course.

Re: Another Canadian leaving
Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI) is an infantry regiment in the Canadian Forces (CF), belonging to 1 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group (1 CMBG). It is one of the most decorated regiments in the CF. It currently consists of four battalions, three in the Regular Force and one in the Reserve Force (militia). The PPCLI is ranked second in the order of precedence for the regular infantry, and 38th in the infantry militia.
Of course Princess Patricia's Light Infantry would be the most decorated. Like a princess would have a dreary army.

Re: Another Canadian leaving
Have a safe deployment Ribby.
And can you confirm or deny that a large part of the Canadian contingent that made up "The Devil's Brigade" (the 1st Specal Services Force) were PPCLI? A former coworker, who was a member, made the claim while we watched the movie once.
From what I can tell, either way, you're screwed. Bad people are punished by society's laws, and good people are punished by Murphy's Law.

Was that Devil's Brigade or Hells Brigade? (I'm pretty sure the latter existed, though it might have just been a movie - I've not heard of the former)

Good luck and stay safe.
It is an odd thing, but every one who disappears is said to be seen at San Francisco. It must be a delightful city, and possess all the attractions of the next world.

Devil's Brigade was the awful William Holden movie about the Special Service Force whose nickname was the 'Black Devils', because they painted their faces black for night operations. That nickname may have been given to them by their German opponents in Italy, "Die schwarzen Teufel", but that may be a bit of propaganda. The members were recruited from existing units and some may have come from the PPCLI, but not exclusively. The members could have come from any unit. They did use 'death cards' though. They had stickers made to place on the enemy dead.
