I got a Kill A Watt

It'll tell you how many watts the connected device is using at any moment or you can leave it plugged in for many hours or days for a better idea of it's actual usage over time. For instance, i plugged in my laser printer and it jumped up to like 900 watts for about 30 seconds then dropped to 2 and stayed there. It seems to only use juice when it's working on something.

Hey, that's pretty cool!

Calculate your AC costs. Per hour, per week, whatever.

*Fallacy at its zenith kids.* "Who is this "we" you keep talking about? What price have "you" paid for this war? Blah, Blah. Its hardly a "we" proposition."

Re: Your summer monthly electric bill

I made an Excel file, too. I enter the KWH measured for each device, and the elapsed time of the measurement and it gives me average watts used over that period, KWH used in 30 days, cost for 30 days, and cost for 365 days. At the bottom it adds all those up so I can see how close I'm getting to what's actually on my bills.

Awww...my first real spreadsheet.

Re: Your summer monthly electric bill

Yeah, jeez, I thought my electric bill was normal until I saw some of your guys. I live in a 2800 sf house and mine's around $300 a month.
