I'm beginning to find this genre as incredibly boring. Oh look, another monster popped out from a wall behind me. Who would have guessed.

This actually runs very playabley on my 1.5Ghz Powerbook. My 1GB stick of RAM just died, but once I get that replaced, I think it'll run even better.

As a game it leaves much to be desired. The action is simplistic, there's nothing new, there's virtually no strategy at all. But if one just thinks of it as a form of interactive entertainment showcasing the latest progress in graphics development and art design, then I think its quite impressive. Sometimes a little mindless blasting of heavy metal monsters is OK. I do wish id would break down and incorporate some of the Unreal universe's strategy to the gameplay though.

Creepier than every room looking the same and the lights never working properly? Maybe in Quake IV you go into a room and there isn't an enemy hiding in every corner. That would freak me out.
