Laptops Not Charging
I recently acquired two laptops: a pismo 400 and a blueberry iBook 300. As of right now, they both suffer from the smae symtoms: they won't charge the batteries.
These laptops are both old and flaky, for a while i wasn't able to get the pismo to start up. But I was able to get them to charge. But since I installed 10.3.9, when I plug in the AC adapter, the laptop onlyh runs off the power and doesnt' charge. If I disconnect the power, the computer shuts down since there's no juice in the batteries.
What can I do? All the firmware updates are for OS9 only. I guess I can get an external rapid battery charger, but is there any way I don't have to shell out 50 bucks?
Thanks in advance

Re: Laptops Not Charging
Sorry, but in laptops that old it is likely that the batteries need to be replaced. These may be more than you are willing to spend, but you can find replacement batteries for each of your Macs at Other World Computing (this link is to their NewerTechnology batteries page).

Re: Laptops Not Charging
Pismo is such an awesome machine....
G3 isn't alot of horsepower anymore but it's still a nice machine for very basic general use!
