Funny how people describe Green Day as a sellout band. I never was particularly fond of their style pre-American Idiot, which is the point at which most people tell me they sold out. shrug

They had good songs before that too, like Don't Leave Me, Basketcase, Longview, Worry Rock etc.

Re: Punk Discussion

So last night was amazing.
Gorilla Biscuits
Righteous Jams.

I could have died happily after seeing Righteous Jams, but Gorilla Biscuits blew my mind. It's amazing that they still sound the same after all these years. Well, part of that was the fact that Walter still plays his 77' Strat... but Civ's voice was amazing nonetheless. They were awe inspiring. I hope they stay together so I can see them again, but I know that if they do that this show will forever be the best. They were amazing. They played every single song I wanted to hear, and the crowd went nuts when they played Gorilla Biscuits. It was amazing.

Re: Punk Discussion

Don't forget Husker Du -- an underated but very influential 80s group.

Based on the findings of the report, my conclusion was that this idea was not a practical deterrent for reasons which at this moment must be all too obvious.
