iMac G3 Slot-loading monitor
Greetings, I am probably one of the few people whom still uses one of the old Apple iMac G3 models. Although I have a much faster computer (powermac G4) I still use it on a daily basis; primarily for listening to music. About two years ago, the monitor on my Mac fried. Now, I have to reboot it about five times before I can actually see anything! Sometimes, the color is red; or orange; green; blue; or nothing. Though I must say that it gives watcing the Matrix a new experience! My question is not can I get a replacement monitor tube, but how do I replace it? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I don't want to retire it just yet!

Re: iMac G3 Slot-loading monitor
your best bet is actually to plug an external monitor into it, which can be done pretty easily. What model iMac is it? there is actually a monitor port inside it which you can run a monitor/extension cable to.
goodbye

My g3 (Graphite/500) monitor is darkening, but everything else still works great. Where can I find out about hooking up an alternative monitor/

I found the calibration module of the monitors control panel.
