Cannot Find a Mac OS 9 system folder on startup disk

I am trying to install diablo 2 onto my computer and I get an error message.

I had a hard drive crash and i sent it to apple and when I got it back my OS was upgraded to 10.4.8.

Use Blizzard's OS X Native Installer available here. The installer on the CD requires OS 9.

Nope. That'd be illegal as hell.

If you bought the computer new and still have the CDs that came with it, there should be a classic installer on there. Damned if I remember which CD, though.

Re: Cannot Find a Mac OS 9 system folder on startup disk

There are terribly old Mac OSes that are available for download from Apple. OS 9 isn't one of them tho.

On the other hand, if you want OS 7 Apple will give it to you off their website - no questions asked.

7.0, 7.5, but not 7.1 last I checked. Never understood that.

Classic is on one of your system installation CDs.  It's not installed by default but you can add it.
