FLASH: FOX NEWS FUNDS TERRORISM
WorldNet: Fox News paid $2 million to free kidnapped journalists
The terror leader, from the Gaza-based Popular Resistance Committees, said his organization's share of the money was used to purchase weapons, which he said would be utilized "to hit the Zionists."
He said he expects the payments for Centanni and Wiig's freedom will encourage Palestinian groups to carry out further kidnappings.
Officials associated with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah party and its security organization, the Preventative Security Services, confirmed to WND money was paid for the release of the Fox News reporters.
A senior leader of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group, the declared "military wing" of Fatah, said the group received a small percentage of the $2 million, which all parties interviewed said was transferred in cash.
All this talk of Democrats supporting the terrorists is silly. I mean, what have they actually done? Only the right-wingers are out there making things happen!

That's true, they should have been more like liberal journalists, do nothing and let them get their heads sawed off.

WE DON'T NEGOTIATE WITH TERR--er, are 100s ok, or do you want 20s ?

Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet." They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew.

That terrorist group really let them off cheap. 2 million bucks? Come on.
Don't they know how much FOX makes? They should have demanded like 10 million a head.

It's fairly common for these places to pay - which is one reason it keeps happening.

I must say - if I was kidnapped by extremists, I'd want to come out of it alive.
I'd probably end up dead though, even if someone was willing to pay.

Re: FLASH: FOX NEWS FUNDS TERRORISM
I can't say I completely blame them for bailing out the journalists; however, there's a reason we don't negotiate with terrorists. To be a dork and to quote Mr. Spock, "the many outweigh the needs of the few." $2 million will buy a smurf load of supplies for gorilla warfare, and paying that ransom is incredibly contradictory to "supporting our troops."
I wonder if this was a PR driven decision for Fox. For a network so concerned with spinning the "progress" in Iraq, it wouldn't too hot to have your journalist executed over there.
That said, if I'm ever kidnapped, I would greatly appreciate any kind members of the MAF who want to help pay my ransom.

I understand what fox news did, but I do not understand how they can continue to say that they don't support terrorists/negotiate with terrorists.

Oh come on.
Sure, they have a bias towards a particular perspective - but no, they aren't so slimy that they would have left their journalist to die had it not been for a PR aspect.
Besides - this was Gaza, not Iraq.

I'm sure if I were one of those journalists I wouldn't care how I got released as long as I got released.
However as a journalist, I know full well the risk I'm running when doing stories in war zones. You pays your money, you takes your chances.

What do you mean by "people they have on." Are you suggesting their political slant doesn't extend beyond their on-air talking heads?

And do you know that it does?
Say, just what politcal slant is it to want to use your resources to save people from harm?

Okay, you were talking specifically about FC's quote above . . . that they (meaning FOX, I guess?) don't "negotiate with terrorists."
