MacBook - will we see the graphics card upgraded in time for MacWorld
Two people in tow different forums posted on Apple's "Support" page that it was anticipated that Apple world soon upgrade to the Intel GMA965 chip set. This person claimed this was a huge leap over the present 950 card. What do people think - will Apple upgrade? I will be buying either a MacBook or a refurb MacBook Pro (due to the much better card) right after the keynote.

I don't see why they wouldn't upgrade it. They do want as good graphics performance as they can get out of integrated cards, so this would fit the progression, I think.

Re: MacBook - will we see the graphics card upgraded in time for MacWorld
With the exception of the Wallstreet and Pismo models (whose CPU's could be upgraded) Apple hasn't allowed for most upgrades (besides RAM, HD, and wireless). The older Powerbook g3's and G4's did have AGP graphic cards and the MacBook Pros have PCI Express.... but I don't think any of those models were upgradeable (other than build to order options that is).
I don't think Apple will ever release a fully upgradeable laptop... seems like they never have and they never will.

I really don't think they need to make an upgradeable card. It's not something that is that necessary in a laptop, and is perhaps one feature that there is very little interest in.

I don't see the point in upgrading graphics cards in laptops. If you need to get the better GPU, just go with the MacBook Pro. It would cost almost as much if not more, to upgrade the video card in the MacBook. Laptops are great for travel and for school. I use my MacPro for graphics and video. This MacBook (Core Duo) is all I'll really need in a laptop for a few years really. It is quick, sends e-mails, does word processing just fine, and browses the Internet. If I needed to do more than that, then the MacBook Pro would have been the right choice. Upgrading the video card is just a waste.

I think you're more likely to see an AppleOS retail box for any Intel machine then have Apple release a easily upgradeable MacBook with the option of a user-replaceable graphics card.

The mobile versions of the 965 chipset are still several months away. Apple will probably upgrade, but even the new integrated graphics aren't nearly as good as a dedicated card.

I've seen World of Warcraft played, and played well, on a Macbook. The capabilities of the of the Macbook are underestimated in my opinion.

"Well" is very subjective.
Also, I'm not talking about the card being upgradeable but am asking if people think they will upgrade from the current card. I'm not sure if that was clear judging by some of the responses.

I play it on my 1.83GHz w/2GB RAM and it rarely breaks double-digit frame rates. It's choppy, even with all options turned down low. Then again, my friend w/his 15" PB runs using the same settings and with about the same level of performance - but his machine is a few years old. So yeah, not so great with the WoW, but playable.
To be honest, it actually runs and looks much better on a Windows box running under DirectX. Not sure if this is Blizzard's fault, Apple's fault or OpenGL's fault or a combination.

Agreed - I happen to be someone who plays a lot of WoW on my MacBook. and the performance kicks all kinds of ass compared to the iBook, which had dedicated graphics memory.
