Wii stake out - when are you heading into line?
I figured I'd show up at my local target at like 3 Am on Sunday morning - but it seems almost like I should head out Saturday night. Man, kinda neverous about this... me wants one so bad!
In lighter news, I got a call from EB Saying my copy of Zelda will be in tomorrow.

Re: Wii stake out - when are you heading into line?
I wish I could...well just because I think it would be cool to hang with friends at an overnight. Hell I've waited in line for concert tickets before so why not. I can't though as I have the kids this weekend. Is anyone in Connecticut going to wait out, and if so where?

Re: Wii stake out - when are you heading into line?
I was starting to chew me nails over it, but it turns out one store has 40, another has 20, yet another has 20, and the one I'm going to has 63 on hand at the moment, and is expecting 42 on their truck tomorrow afternoon (105). the two stores with 20 have 20 pre-orders, and 20 extra coming in on top of that. There's 6 more stores in town that will have them, but I haven't bothered to call.
I think I'm gonna line up around 3 or 4am sunday morning.

Ya'll be careful and don't get shot.
In Putnam, Conn., two gunmen tried to rob people lined up for the console, and shot one who refused to surrender his money. Michael Penkala, 21, of Webster, Mass., was wounded in the chest and shoulder. He was in stable condition Friday with injuries not believed to be life threatening, according to Connecticut State Police.

Re: Wii stake out - when are you heading into line?
I'm not obsessive enough about video games to wait in line like that. I'll probably wait a while before getting a Wii, or any other console. (hell, I might be just as likely to get a PS3 once the price goes down due to the availability of gcc and OpenGL on the console, assuming that they won't cripple homebrew, and that libraries such as SDL do in fact make it to the PS3)

Hey. Me too. Maybe I'll see you there.
No. Wait. Stop.
That whole different Toys R Us and all....

What are the odds that will happen in Webster, NY as well?

If you pre-ordered through EB/Gamestop, I would get there somewhat early. I heard if you don't pick it up the day of release, they'll resell it.

I drove by my Toys R Us and there's already a lady out front with a couple chairs and various things to do. She still has 22 hours to go.

There are a group of people in front of the Cromwell, CT Walmart store. They seemed in great spirits but its going to get chilly tonight so who knows.

Re: Wii stake out - when are you heading into line?
so, what game are you guys going to be getting with your Wii?
I'll be getting Excite Truck and raving rabbids, (package deal I didn't have any choice in the matter) but I'm going to exchange RR for Zelda if they have it. I'll also be getting an extra wiimote.

Re: Wii stake out - when are you heading into line?
I'm hoping I can get 3 wiimotes, 3 nunchucks, and a classic controller. We're having 8 friends over the thanksgiving weekend...would be fun if everyone could play.
Hopefully the games and wii points are easy to come by. (just want to get zelda and excite truck...maybe madden next weekend)
Component cable is already on it's way...should have it monday.

Re: Wii stake out - when are you heading into line?
Well I went around and scouted and at this point it is a lost cause to get one tonight/tomorrow.
I mean, there are already 40 some people lined up everywhere. It really took me by surprise.
I'll probably still stop by some stores but I'm not expecting I get one for at least another few weeks at this rate.

Re: Wii stake out - when are you heading into line?
The guy I'm going with said the line was 4-5 at our Target. We're going to trade off holding down the fort, I'm brining chairs and blankets. Yay for lines!
Signing off for now, there may be updates @ the store if my laptop gets a signal.

Wow, you must live in a place with more stores or with people not caring as much.

Re: Wii stake out - when are you heading into line?
Since my last posting, one more person jumped in line. There are a ton of stores here, and I bet we'll see a rush after midnight as people trying to get here because they didn't get one at a midnight release.

Re: Wii stake out - when are you heading into line?
Well, a bit of information changed a few things.
My Fred Meyer's is having a midnight launch. Since I'll be up anyway, I'm heading on over.
They'll have 55 units and they aren't allowing any camping.
