Today's Patch

My downloader says it'll be three hours until I've downloaded the entire patch.  ugh

Re: Today's Patch

Yeah, still waiting on mine 2.5 hours later.  I finally just turned off p2p because the direct download goes faster.  P2P started out faster but then went down to about 10 KB/s after an hour or so.  I restarted it but got no speed increase so I decided to just leech it.

Re: Today's Patch

It went pretty fast for me. A tip is to open some ports on the router and the firewall but being admin and all you probably already knew that right?

If not, the ports that could be set to open on Port Forward on the router during the download are these: 6881-6999, 3724,6112

At least I've set these and it helps a lot during these downloads.

Re: Today's Patch

After tweaking my router settings to open the ports suggested by Blizzard, it was a 2.5 hour download.

Might be the connection then. I'm on a 5Mbit broadband connection. I guess that does a trick or two.

Re: Today's Patch

I got mine from a site hours before it went live on the servers. The blizz downloader is junk on patch days.
