I registered already, although like last year, i don't know if i'll be able to go. I want to be prepared for it if i can go. Besides registering early = free, so why not? smile

Re: Registered for MacWorld yet?

I would except it'd cost too much money to get there. Money I'm trying to save for overdue system upgrades. What I really need is a MacWorld Orlando.

"System upgrades"? Is that like "male enhancement"?

Some day I'd like to make MacWorld part of a nerdly vacation, but not this time. It sounds like a hoot. Unfortunately, MacWorld Boston is not at all impressive.

Re: Registered for MacWorld yet?

I noticed on the reg page that they're selling tickets to the MacWorld party this year. Is this new or have i just been that unobservant in the past?

No more like a moving from a Blueberry iMac DV 400 to whatever low end Mini they have once I've saved up the money for one plus the inclusion of another external drive enclosure so I can keep my 160 GB HD through the upgrade and a KVM so I can condense my desk setup.

At some point I'd love more RAM and a nice LCD they but those aren't priority.

Re: Registered for MacWorld yet?

Is it that time of year already? Ugh.

I don't know if I'm going to go this year. I'll consider it.

Re: Registered for MacWorld yet?

I'll need to wait until one of those freebee registration codes makes it my way. I'll drop-in if Apple or Adobe releases and cool toys that I actually want to touch on much lunch break. The Moscone center is close to me.

I'm really not going to get worked up about Macworld. Even when there are cool toys, I already know about, or don't care about, 99.999% of the stuff there.

Last time I went I...
• got a yo-yo that broke
• saw Intel MacOS and said "yup, that's MacOS"
• won a manual to software I don't own
• ran into a bunch of sales reps that were not worth networking with
• saw iPod cases, more iPod cases, and yes... more iPod cases

IMHO the internet has made that conference increasingly more useless.

Add a MacWorld Philadelphia to that list.

The show floor gets real boring real quick, but the conferences usually make it worth it to me.

Re: Registered for MacWorld yet?

I use to go to MacWorld Boston, Then MacWorld NY, But San Fran is just too far away
If you lived on the east coast, You could just jump on amtract and walk 2 blocks to th Javits Center, Boston, I would just take the subway
Mac Expo in London   was good but Small compated to mac world
(You can  always get free tickets to Macworld or any Mac show if you register early enough) Then worry about getting there)
