iChat instant messaging
Alright, this is driving me crazy. Is there any way to instant message someone not on ur buddy list??? WITHOUT adding them, cuz then you have to add address book info, which I don't have for online people (duh apple!).

Also, select "Balloon Help" from the pull down menu.

Geez and I thought the first person to say something about that would yell at me and tell me all the advantages of a nice safe firewall!

Re: iChat instant messaging
There is always the option of using AIM's chat application. Lots of my peers swear by it and refuse to use iChat.

Re: iChat instant messaging
when im in 9: aim
when im in x: adium
i went into ichat once(because it was in the dock, and i meant to click what was next to it
) and it bugged the heck out of me after like, a minuite. i really really didnt like it. ive used aim for about 4 years now and ive gotten used to a lot of the features that it has, i think adium could be a bit easier in adding new people at times, but its ok. ive been meaning to try fire so i can be on my yahoo im too, but i really like how adium has everything in one window, i hated it at first (i hated tabs for a long time, but they are growing on me). just a couple options...

Haha! Fantastic!
I believe in Karma. That means I can do bad things to people all day long and I assume they deserve it.
