OH GOD PLEASE HELP!!!!!
I have been searching everywhere for instructions on this and the only place I found where they could help wanted to charge me $20 a month. And Mac and Microsoft tech support said that they wont help me.
I need help with sharing a windows server 2003 network drive so a mac can access it.
I am throwing myself to the crew here in the hopes that you can help.
Thank you
Drew

If you actually had an emergency worthy of such a desparate title, one would hope you would have the good sense to call 911 instead of using an internet message board.

select go, then type smb://servername/sharedfolder
you have to do that everytime to get to it but it works!

Re: OH GOD PLEASE HELP!!!!!
For what its worth, you can change the Workgroup that your Mac is a member of through the Directory Access application located in the Utilities folder. Click the lock in the lower left to authenticate yourself as an administrator, and then double click on SMB/CIFS. Type the name of the Workgroup you want to be assigned to, and you can optionally enter the address of your WINS server.
Without a WINS server, you can still browse Windows shares on your subnet through the Network icon. You'll need a WINS server for cross-subnet browsing.
