Re: I have a problem
That anti persperant -> cancer is a myth. I saw an article recently, can't remember where, about all the things people tell you may lead to cancer but really don't. It was quite interesting; wish I could remember more of it.

Are you sure? Of all the "x causes cancer" things out there, this seems to make sense. Antiperspirant contains a lot of aluminum, and this will get into the body through nicks when armpits are shaved. Aluminum will cause problems when in the body.
I still believe in liberalism today as much as I ever did, but, oh, there was a happy time when I believed in liberals.

Re: I have a problem
Hrm, while that has possibilities...
The one I heard, and that I know for fact is false is the "deodorant clogs sweat pores and then sweat can't escape and it causes cancer" (yes, people really believe this stuff).
That said... I'd be more worried about the x-rays the dentist takes than the aluminum in my deodorant just because a stray electron from Al hitting something important is a lot less likely than the x-rays hitting something important.

Re: I have a problem
Okay guys (and gals).... let's get back on subject.....
Yes, I'm using Mitchum A-P. I also use DrySol. The thing is... it's still happening. What the heck! I found this website: http://stopsweat.com. On its list of people it works best for, it says "Teens/Adults experiencing horomonal changes". Yeah, that's me.
Anyway... does the site look legit to you? I was thinking about it, but the little voice in my head keeps saying "This is available OTC, whilst DrySol is RX only and it won't stop it." What should I do?
PS... Bass Clarinet kicks major butt!

Re: I have a problem
14 with girlfriend?!! Wow, I didn't even have a girlfriend until I was 17! Kids nowadays....moving so fast......
I'm 18 and I still don't have a girlfriend. Hah! I have you all beat! Wait... now I've depressed myself.
I don't sweat very often, but the one time that I do sweat (and one of the most inopportune times) is when I'm trying to play a fast Chopin or Rachmaninov piece on the piano. It's difficult to use sweaty fingers as an excuse for bad playing. "No, seriously! I keep slipping!"

Re: I have a problem
You may have Axillary hyperhidrosis(Underarm Sweating Problem) That is a medical condition that you get around puberty and that will be with you for the rest of your life.
I also have Axillary hyperhidrosis(Underarm Sweating Problem)
If anyone else shares the same problem I suggest using Drysol. But for some people antiperspirants will not work. Antiperspirants only block the way for sweat to go through so if you sweat alot like me this will not work for you. If Drysol does not work then the next step is BOTOX. Botox is shots that you get under the arm and its not just 1 its like 8 altogether. Botox actually is supposed to reduce the sweating alot. So if you are thinking about using either you need to see a doctor like I did. I have tried both and neither work for me but this is a rare thing. I am one of the few people that these things do not work for. Now if you are like me the last step is surgery where they go through the chest and remove the sweat glands. But for me this is not an option because I do not have the kind of money and I'm not to comforatlbe with surgery -.-
Botox takes 10 days to start working but for me this was not the case but it might work for you.
On the 10th day of my sweating problem I noticed my sweating did go down a little but already on the 14th day it was back to normal. Botox is supposed to last 3-4 months.
If anyone else has the problem I have I know what you go through everyday.
For me its a horrible thing to have to deal with. My problem affects my grades and social life. In school I am so worried about if any1 notices my problem. I always wear sweatshirt but sometimes i go through them too. I know how it hurts inside to have to go through everyday with this problem. So don't sit around doing nothing, hating life. Go out and try to fix it.
And yes even if you are sitting around or freezing cold you still sweat alot.
No1 should think this is funny or gross,it is a serious matter and should not be made fun of. It's not like we can control it.
To people that dont have this problem and u see someone that does you should actually try to help them out not make fun of them. Because it hurts to have to go through life with this problem.
And yes everything is normal for me im not overweight im actually a little underweight because im 14 and at 98 pounds. Its not because ur fat or dont eat right that you sweat. Its just a medical problem that many people have but are to scared to talk about it. Trust me just go to your doctor, I have plenty of times but sadly i have yet to find a solution that works for me but to the rest of you gook luck ;p

Oh my gosh I can't believe you people are actually having a fight over whos gone the longest without a girl/boyfriend...I got my first boyfriend when I was in 6th grade.
Anywho, about the sweating thing. If your sweating is that bad, there is this botox that you can get that will solve the problem. It does something to the sweat glands or something like that. I saw it on t.v.
Oh, and if you try to wear shirts that don't touch or rub up against your armpits that could probably slow down the whole sweat stains on the shirt.

Well aren't you special.
