UT2007 is now UT3, and headed to 360 as well as PC and PS3.

Yeah I hope it comes to OSX. I really after having pcs for about 15 years have grown an immense hate for them and have decided that there is no way that I will run Bootcamp, so please epic hear my cries.

They used to say they were going to release the pc and mac versions simultaneously for this one, and that the mac would finally be getting the editing tools.  But I haven't heard any kind of talk like that lately.  Now, it seems to be all about the consoles.

I'm sure Epic has no problem with it, but this last year has been disastrous for Mac gaming- no new shooters, only 2-3 AAA titles at all. With profit margins so thin to begin with, Bootcamp made everyone gunshy and looking to diversify to other platforms; Prey is the first new FPS in ages, and the Doom 3 engine work was mostly already done, minimizing port costs. A port needs porting and publishing for Mac; Ryan Gordon would likely port it if paid to, but someone would have to publish it.

Whether and how much things will rebound in '07 will just have to wait on time- but yeah, still seems awfully quiet.
