Ipod nano 2nd gen displays apple icon on some songs
I'm new to ipod and my problem is when I pressed play on a specific song it will display the apple icon for a few seconds and then return to the main menu. It seems to happen on 2 specific songs right now. What's the problem?

Only on those 2? I'd say they're likely incompatible. Where did you acquire the songs? What format are they?

IF i remember correctly, they're either mp3 or ACC.

You can see what format they are through iTunes. Cmd+i to find the details. I want em all.

Re: Ipod nano 2nd gen displays apple icon on some songs
Sorry for the late reply but I was out of town for a while and now that I have my mac here's the detail for the 1st song.
ACC audio file, size 3.2 mb, bit rate 128 kbps, sample rate: 44,100 khz, profile low complexity, channel stereo, encoded with itunes v4.2
2nd song
MPEG audio file, size 8.8 mb, bit rate 320 kbps, sample rate: 44,100 khz, Format MPEG-1 layer 3, channel stereo, encoded with itunes v4.2
The strange thing is that when I connect my ipod to my mac and the ipod icon appears with the songs and are played thru itunes, the 2 songs played fine but if I played it thru my ipod it still gives me the apple icon.

Try deleting them from your iPod and resending them over from your computer
Dont worry Mr iMac you will be back, we'll keep the chocolate warm for you.
Gee, you got a Windows box to blue screen? That's inconceivable!
Thank you Macskeeball for my great new avatar!
