The Mac OS X forums
I don't agree with you having a poll.

Re: The Mac OS X forums
I've got no problem with the way they Mac OS X forums are set up. People may post in the wrong forum sometimes, but everyone will get used to it eventually.

Re: The Mac OS X forums
Well, since OS X will be getting more and more common, most of the help questions will land in Balloon Help (which will probably become the Help Center). So, since we have a help room, I think the second one for X issues only is superfluous.

Those were created back when X was new and still in beta. I agree we need to revamp things. I suspect registered_user is correct about how things will fall out.

Re: The Mac OS X forums
As the mod for both Tips & Tricks and Troubleshooting, I start my day looking things over. The questions is will I first look at the "fun" topic or the "bummer" topic. That's been nice and handy.
I agree that Troubleshooting should morph into Ballon Help eventually, but until X rules it's nice not to have to sort through OS 9 solutions and problems.
