Photoshop File- "Unexpected End of File"
I was saving over a photoshop file when my power went out. When I try to open it, Photoshop says it is unable to because an "unexpected end-of-file was encountered."
Is there anything I can do?
It kills me because I have a battery backup connected to my computer... my photoshop document was really big, so it took awhile to save... I guess not long enough.
thanks

Holy mother of lightning bugs!
I opened it in QT, Preview, no worky...
but I opened it in ImageReady, a program I've never used before, and it's there!
One of the layers is corrupt, but no biggie.
Lesson learned is always save multiple versions of file.
Love ya

He had one but apparently it wasn't enough.

Well it was early on a Monday morning. Didn't have your coffee yet?

How short was the battery backup time that you couldn't save a file? Do you only have like 2 minutes of use time on your UPS? If so, I'd suggest getting a better one.
It's a paradox of how sharply dull I am.

5 min. UPS, but I had a very big photoshop file on a old eMac.
It's ok, though. I like that photoshop saved some data, rather than corrupting everything.
thanks
