Getting a new MAC
Soon I'll be purchasing either an iMac or a Macbook, I was looking for some suggestions on what might be the better choice. Portability isn't absolutely necessary for me, it just seems like it might be usefull by some odd chance. My main uses will be school related stuff, no video/image editing or anything like that, I'd also like to burn alot of the DvD's I get from Netflix. Any suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks.

First of all (Capitalization Nazi alert!), the computer is Mac, as in Macintosh.
Second of all, if you don't need to move it around a lot, and processing power is irrelevant, go with the cheapest (make sure it has a SuperDrive first).

Depends on largely what your goin to use it for.. since your not going to do any hardware extensive application such as video editing or running a numerical computational simulations... the MacBook will be great for your needs !

Just say Mac.
You don't want to confuse people with "MAC address" (Media Access Control address) which is something completely different: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAC_address
