Re: Stupid War
Any of you participate in Desert Storm?
It would take 1 day, two max, of talking to the people of the region (POW's, Kurds, citizens of Kuwait) and you'd know what this is all about. Saddam has murdered millions, gassed entire Kurd villages of Women & children, his agents kidnap and torture priests and or anyone suspected of being subversive.
Saddam has murdered millions? You sure about that figure?
And I think that 1 day, two max of talking to the people of the region, particularly Kurds, Shiite Iraqis and any Iraqi dissidents left alive, they'll tell you they're still mad that the US told them to rise up against Saddam then abandoned them to get massacred.
Funny the sensitive 90's man brigade of ponytail bleeding hearts have yet to protest these atrocities. Being pissed at The President takes priority over worrying about Saddams victims.
Yeesh. An inability to express oneself without using insults is an indication of a weak mind (or a weak argument).
And you conveniently forget that most of those "millions" of people killed by the Iraqi government were killed while Iraq was friends with the US, and receiving plenty of aid (money, military supplies, industrial equipment). Your government ignored those atrocities back then, why should we believe they suddenly care about them now? The 90s crewcut hard-hearted chickenhawks like to forget that in their rush to send other people to fight and die.
American & British troops will be welcomed in Baghdad as hero liberators after 3/4 of Saddams armed forces desert and or surrender rather than face being killed by US/British surgical strikes... just like last time.
God willing, that's what's going to happen. But 10-15% of smart bombs go astray, which means plenty of civilians are going to die. And it's interesting how you are so knowledgable of the future that you even know what percentage is going to surrender! Wow, that's deeply impressive.
The only problem the US will have is over-extending their stay after booting Saddam, however I trust the pussy French and every other spineless country will happily show up well after the fact as peacekeepers.. and I'm sure they'll try and take some credit for helping oust the mass murdering criminal they were too busy cheering on.
Why should anybody help your country if it calls them pussies?
BTW Saddam loves all his loyal American fans who take to the streets and cheer him on, he knows as long as the clueless anti-war crowd ignores all his crimes, lies and deception.. he can get away with just about whatever he wants and still have you on his side.
He must be amazed he can kill, lie, torture, and ethnic cleanse and still have people flood the streets and support him.
You're not just a dick, you're a moron.
Osama loves American chickenhawks. The more Muslim civilians you guys kill, the more recruits he gets.

Which one do you have? A weak mind or a weak argument? My bet's on both...

A wise man once said, "never attempt irony with the feebleminded, because they won't know it when they see it."
Apparently you qualify.

What, you're above being held to your own words? Maybe your arguments would have some merit if you had any consistency to how you make them. Blast AMD for insulting those he is criticizing, then turn around and insult him.
In my experience, inconsistency is often typical of the knee-jerk reactionary liberal's argument when discussing/arguing political and social topics, though. The same folks who oppose the death penalty because "every life is precious" are the same one's who support abortion.
Take that as you will.

Go ahead, back out. It's your nature. That won't change the fact that we all saw your hypocrisy for what it was.

Everyone's a hypocrite. Everyone doesn't want to admit their mistakes. I can still remember when you attacked a remark I made, and ignored the

Sorry. He deserved it. But I never made any comment about personal attacks or insults being inappropriate, my only comment was about being consistent and not hypocritical, so I'm in the clear, suckers!

Yeah. As much as I'll stand behind the president on other things, that is just silly. And I have a feeling it won't exactly improve the economy, either. Well, the tax cuts will, but the other stuff won't.
A money tree would improve the economy, though.

Err..... not really. Inflation would kinda screw us over even more.
I personally think the U.S. should start selling our WMD. To the highest bidder.

Why don't we go for a Hollywood-esque title: "Russia 2: Attack of the Clones"

Nah. As a gamer, I think I'd prefer "Russia 2: Invisible Budget" or "Russia 2k3: Reign of Deficits..."
