What is this worth?
I was cleaning out my old boxes of stuff in the basement and I found this:
It says "Collector's Edition" right on the front, so I'm hoping that this will pay for my children's college education. I figure between this collectible and my Beanie Babies, I should have this taken care of!

What would you do if I sang out of tune? Would you laugh and then beat me to a pulp?

Re: What is this worth?
As probably a moderator will say soon: It isn't allowed to sell stuff on the forums.
I don't think you'd get much though. I'd frame it if I where you.
Now, where in the name of... did I put that thing that I forgot what it was and why I was looking for it?

It's not likely to get you anything. It's a tech magazine. Just because it says Collectors Edition doesn't mean it has any value.
Oh, and if you try to sell it on here, this thread will disappear.

Re: What is this worth?
No one seems to understand humor in this forum. I'm not really selling it... see the part about the Beanie Babies was meant to call your attention to the sarcastic tone of the entire post. I guess I need to make that more clear in the future.

Re: What is this worth?
Don't you just hate it when an attempt at witty sarcasm is lost on an audience?
-- edited to add... I have an old Commodore Vic20 box (no system in it) if anyone wants to see what it looked like.
(note that this is NOT a solicitation, we do not wish to part with the box.)

We didn't. My dad's first computer was a C64, though.

When it comes to bending forum rules on selling stuff, our sense of humor is tenuous indeed! Don't let it happen again. I say good day to you sir!

Based on the findings of the report, my conclusion was that this idea was not a practical deterrent for reasons which at this moment must be all too obvious.

My first was an S-100 system that I built back in 1981 with a Godbout/CompuPro 8085 processor card and some RAM I bought out of the back of a pickup truck at a San Jose swap meet -- do I win any geek points for that...?
