The avatar still isn't changing correctly: is reverting back to old one!

Based on the findings of the report, my conclusion was that this idea was not a practical deterrent for reasons which at this moment must be all too obvious.

You sure it's not just a caching issue with you? Unlike the rest of us, you only have a single avatar uploaded (the Ring .jpg, no .gif or .png). Try emptying your cache and refreshing.
