Ugh, I have not been this stumped in a while. (Bluetooth)
Ok, I need some help. I recently(yesterday) got a phone, with bluetooth capabilities. The model is the Samsung SCH-u420. Anyways, the phone is new to me, and to alltell, because it's apparently like been out for two weeks, so there isn't much third party help on it, and this is kind of a last resort method. Anyways, the phone(or my Mac?) won't let me send anything to itself. Like, I can't even get it to sync with my adress book. It pairs just fine, and I have gone through the bluetooth set up thingy, like a dozen times, but when I try to send a contact to the phone, all I get is the notice, "The device does not have the necessary services." WTF? My manual even says it can do that.
So, as you can tell, I am lost on this one, and any help would be a huge deal. Thanks.

some service providers disable features on your phone, so even though your phone can do it, you can not.

Is it Verizon? I hear that they cripple some of their phones. I couldn't get my buddy's Verizon LG to work, although my Cingular Motorola worked fine.

dude I bought that phone 20 minutes ago. I was sort of hoping I could sync it with a USB cord or by purchasing a BlueTooth dongle for my Mac. I'll stay tuned.

I have a samsung m500, a few days ago when i tried to sync it with my macbook but when the phone said 'pairing successful' it froze. I decided that I would call it, make it snap out of it's problem. then i had a loud problem, It would not stop ringing and I could not get the battery out. All of this happened at bout midnight so I put it in the fridge and when to bed (the fridge it nice and sound proof. in the morning after a charge it worked fine. But i dont think I will be syncing it again any time soon.

i asked the same thing about my treo 650, being able to bluetooth with my macbook pro.. lady at the apple store told me that my phone needed some extra software to be able to connect to my computer that would cost me like $25.00 to upload to my phone.. the way that it sounds there's only like one or two phones that actually can sync with mac and the others you need some sort of special software.. i don't have the website with me but will post it when i get home.. it's not versiontracker.com, but something else.. it's a problem with your phone, not your computer... and it's not a problem, just a software issue

My Razr is through Cingular and it syncs just fine.
There is an excellent web site (Howard's?), for issues like these. When I get home tonight I will look for it, unless someone beats me to it.

my wife's moto v360 wouldn't sync either but I found a hack for iSync on the interweb.
Try looking there.

Using Bitpim and a $3 USB cable I was able to get photos off my phone, upload wallpapers, and add midi and mp3 ringtones.
Using a program called DataPilot, I was able to successfully sync my address book on my mac with the telephone.
Worked great.
