Re: Proposed forum changes: Autumn 2007
We don't have any power over that since we don't have server access. We have yet to hear back about the status of any of those after repeated attempts to find out what is going on.
Anyway, lets just keep this to the reorganization here, since it is what we can do.
Oh, and these changes won't happen before the weekend.

What about the topic titles in tabs?
What about a couple other forum themes?

I'd like to see those things fixed first, too.

Certainly the page titles, I agree.

Re: Proposed forum changes: Autumn 2007
what about web design issues, would those still be posted in the Programming forum? it seems like WDD would really fit better in the Pro Shop, if it has to be rolled into another forum.

I don't think combining Unplugged and The Rant Room is such a good idea. The rest seem okay.

I'm not sure if I'm cool with Linux/Unix being the same room as windoze.
Of course, who cares what I think.

We're a Mac forum. None of those are Mac OS. None of them generate quite the traffic to justify them having a dedicated forum.

Re: Proposed forum changes: Autumn 2007
Oh, and the old names are just there to tell you where the stuff is going to get merged in to.
So while some topics will end up in the Pro shop, others will go into programming, in the future.

It seems like the content of the Rant Room gets too volatile for Unplugged, but isn't directly political enough for MiniThink, and I think the niche is filled nicely by the existing Rant Room.

Yeah, but those discussions are often more heated than what seems to be the going rate in Unplugged. It just seemed smart to separate them.

iPod Forum should go public.
Spirit was crushed; now is fading, But I want to help make things right.
Because I can see and I can feel, and you can see and you can feel
So why don't we both either stand up and fight
Or at least together we'll call it a night.

Okay, I didn't mention iPod Forum in the first twenty posts. Who in the Mod Squad won the pool?
