Trouble with Intel install
My post is in this thread http://forum.folding-community.org/fpos … tml#197738
I downloaded the SMP version 2 different ways. First, I tried Beta5 off of the Stanford download page. (no CPU activity.) So, I deleted the Folding@Home folder, the prefpane, but forgot to delete the plist file. Then, over at Team MacAddict4Life (now "renamed" Maclife.com, sort of) we have a simplified installer for the Intel SMP. Ran that.
In both cases, fah5 is running and downloads Core1a which in turn created 4 copies of FahCore_a1.exe. Activity Monitor shows zero CPU usage by any of these.
Help.......

Re: Trouble with Intel install
The Stanford servers might be down. There are no statistics for completed WU for the last two 3 hour segments.

Re: Trouble with Intel install
sometimes you have to do in the Terminal:
kill -9 pid
on the cores and mpiexec for them to die.
If that ever happens, i also delete the work directory.
Type in the Terminal: crontab -l and press enter
copy and paste the command (from cd over) at the prompt and press enter.
That should get the client started again.
As for Stanford's servers being down, I'm unsure of that.

Re: Trouble with Intel install
Well, I don't know what happened.
After a couple more installs and deletes, I used InCrease. Then I was out, returning a neighbor home.
Now it's working, all four copies of FahCore_1a.exe
Thanks for checking in.
