I'm not sure why you would want lag, but if you do there are a few things you can do. Keep a couple of other apps open. Turn all the graphics options up all the way. Take out some RAM. Turn the processor speed down to conserve battery life.
Or if you don't want lag, just do the opposite!

Mayyyyyybe... just mayyyyybe you mean to say "one problem, i CAN'T run runescape without lagg
" ?
For this problem you can.....
Use the Low Detail button
Turn music off runescape and other noises off
Don't have other apps open when playing runescape
and finally open System Preference, go to Energy Saver and click Processor Performance and click Highest.
Also out of randomness what level are you
EDIT:now how did off become on?

Re: My Ibook.
Are you sure that you have a G3 iBook? According to MacTracker the first iBook that had 256 MBs built in was the second model of the G4 iBooks. All of the G3 iBooks had 64 or 128 MBs built into the mother board, so you cannot have 512 MBs total RAM if you have a G3 iBook.
The reason why I ask is that with the G3 iBooks you are limited to adding at most 512 MBs to the single slot for additional RAM, but with the G4 iBooks you can add 1 GB. If it turns out that you have a G4 iBook, then you can substantially improve performance by maxing the RAM.

If you have a G3 iBook and have added a 512 MB stick to it, then you should have a total of either 576 or 640 MBs depending on what you had built on the the motherboard (more likely the latter number).
In Applications> Utilities you should run System Profiler. This will specify which CPU you have and how much RAM you have. I guess that it may be that the built-in RAM on your iBook may be bad and that it only recognizes the RAM in the single add-in slot.

iBook G4s say "iBook G4" right there on the front of the case.
Hard mistake to make.

Sure, but only a G4 iBook could have 512 MB total RAM (256 built-in + 256 added in). There is the possibility of the built-in RAM of a G3 iBook being fried, but it seems unlikely--aside from a deliberate attempt to alter the built-in RAM, I can only imagine that there should be other damage to the iBook in any accident that would fry the built-in RAM.
And, of course, I don't have the iBook in question in front of me so I cannot make such a "hard mistake."

Thanks for clearing that up. The reason I asked is that Apple specs limited the first model of G4 iBooks to adding 512 MBs max, but actually all of the G4 iBooks can have 1 GB added. It is not possible to have a G3 iBook with only 512 MBs unless the built-in RAM is faulty, but it is possible for a G4 iBook to have 512 MBs.
Since you do have the max RAM for your iBook, about the only thing you can do is what iMan suggested above or get a faster Mac. Sorry.
