Life on the bleeding edge...

Haven't been around much lately, been deep in development for the last several months working on, quite frankly some kick ass stuff.    Technically, I still cannot discuss what I am working on until tomorrow, but the WSJ posted the article letting the cat out of the bag a day early, so I will just provide a link right now, and will make a more somewhat more informative post tomorrow.

But a quick summary...
1. My job and the company I work for kicks all kinds of ass,
2. Web2.0 is sooooo last year...
3. Long term exposure to Javascript can cause brain damage.
4. Tired:Ajax - Wired:Persistent Socket Connections

If it won't run on the iPhone, it's nothing wink

Hmmm... let me just say that at this point I cannot comment on iPhone compatibility.

Re: Life on the bleeding edge...

This has been a really interesting and fun experience.  We are getting a ton of press now, and there is an ass-load of wild speculation about what it will and won't be.  And the press stuff has been pretty off base in a few cases.  The best one so far has been Mac world.

While we certainly intend to have a Mac version at some point (many of our game devs are Mac users), we haven't announced one.  Certainly no one involved in the project would have said there was one. We haven't released any details about requirements yet.   The "Garage Games Spokesman" bit is pretty funny... pretty much everyone involved in the project is sitting in the same room as me.  No one would have said that.

Cool stuff, Scott. Always fun to be in the news.

Video:

Skip ahead to about 80min.  It is in an alpha state, but you can see it.  Unfortunately the streaming video doesn't relay the acutal quality, but it essentially the same quality as the XBox360 version.
