Threads with new posts

Whenever I come to the forums, the threads with new posts are labeled as such... for the first forum.  But if I change forums, they are not labelled as such.  For example, If I go to Unplugged, the threads with new posts are labelled.  However, if I switch over to AppleWire, none of the threads are labelled unless they get a new response while I am in AppleWire.  Can that be fixed?

log out and delete all your cookies. The cookies for maf are messed up and I need to delete them every once in a while.

Re: Threads with new posts

Actually, i have a similar problem. When i don't visit a forum for several days, i don't get that little icon showing new posts, even though i can see there's been new posts. I just get the light topics/dark topics.

Still a tin can and a string with OS 9.1.

867 MGZ Quicksilver, OS X 10.2.4, Safari 1.0 Beta (v60)

It happens with IE too.  I'll try the cookie thing and see what happens.

Re: Threads with new posts

I use MSIE 5.1.6 and MacOS 9.2.2 and the site works fine.  Any time I do have problems, a deletion of the MacAddict cookies fixes it.  Let me know if that doesn't fix it for you too.

Since Safari is still in beta, I suggest reporting the problem to Apple in their Safari forum.   You might try a newer build of Safari.  I think its up to v62.  Then again, maybe a deletion of the cookies in Safari will fix this browser also.  Let me know what fixes it.

I did that and it worked.  smile

Interesting... You just recommended that I use a pirated copy of Apple's software!  wink   ...And it's up to v64 by the way.  smile

Re: Threads with new posts

That's odd... I went from Unplugged to here and it worked.  I went from here to Rumormill and it didn't work...
