Where are they now?
So as I sit here at my desk, I cant help but wonder... and muse on where the many members of the original (vanilla WoW) Defenders of Aman'Thul are these days. With multiple server transfers, splits, and divisions, guild break ups, retiring, rerolling, it seems its hard to track some of you scoundrals down these days. So, I figured I'd start a thread about it, see which ones of you guys still browse through here, maybe drop off your new character's name, guild tag, maybe website, or progression. I'd like to hear from you guys, what you're up to, how things are goin ect! So suppose I'll start.
Over a year ago, when the free transfers from Whisperwind to Dalv were allowed, my guild Prodigy (formerly Band of the Red Eye) decided to take it. Since then we've made our way through AQ, killing C'thun, and into the heart of Naxxramas stopping progression at 12/15 bosses ending on the Four Horsemen. At BC, we like many other guilds delt with dealing with squeezing the overweight 40man raid roster into the slim new 25 man jeans of BC raiding. We killed pre-nerf Gruul, and delt with the attunements (now gone) to Serpentshrine Caverns, and Tempest Keep. We made decent headway into SSC before 2.2 (or was it 2.1?) hit and sweeping nerfs normalized the zone to a much more managable and enjoyable level. We've kept up progression and are now relaxing and farming the T6 content, getting our pvp on, with arena teams and guild preforms, waiting on the Sunwell, Zul'Aman, and Arena Season 3.
I rerolled to a Human Rogue from my Night Elf, shortly after our first few boss kills in Serpentshrine Caverns, since at the time the gear difference between t5, and karazhan / blues was almost non-existant. Now enjoying a much better looking character, and a much easier to pronounce (and spell!) name: Rivak. I still play this game far too much, if only to spend time with my buddies and guildmates.
Your turn!

Re: Where are they now?
I'm on Dalvengyr too,
I've been in several guilds since DoAT fell apart, the farthest I raided was all the way through MC and ZG, currently I'm in a guild that is working on Void Reaver in Tempest Keep.
I occasionally work on my mage that I want to make my main, but I get bored of doing the same quests over and over again.

Honestly, do we really ever leave?
Haven't been on since Halo 3, yesterday GoW:PC came out and next week UT3 will be out. Sigh... I need a 48 hour day.

You fail at WoW anyways Llevi.
Muhahahahaha
I recently put Groid in a semi-retirement situation. I woke up one day and realized that I had put far too much effort into something so trivial....that it was kinda depressing. To do the things that I like to do in the game....requires much more than I can give these days.
So I bought a Wii.

Re: Where are they now?
Yeah, I've been wanting to pick up a Wii if for nothing else, I hear the GH3 version is really nice on that. Our main tank works for Activision Entertainment, and was one of the lead devs I guess on GH3, he said to pick up the Wii version if you're going to get it
Glad to hear all of you are doing well, although was hoping to see more faces respond. :[

Re: Where are they now?
Yes yes....it's really fun. On the Wii version, to activate STAR POWER you tilt the guitar head up (the Wii remote is inside and senses it)...the other systems I think you have to push an additional button. So that's kinda cool thing to do.
There's no DLC on the Wii version....but there's no lag issues either when playing someone.
Pick it up and lets get rocking!

Buzz wrong. It's all you have to do on the 360 version as well. Nub. Hurry up and get here because watching Levi Jr. kick your ass in GH will be entertaining.

Re: Where are they now?
I got a wii and an xbox360 and bootcamp. Portal is such a fun game but makes me nauseous. The Wii is definitely fun but lacks a lot of the more conventional games that Windows and the xbox gets. (Poor mac gaming.)
I've been extremely busy as of late so I haven't had much time to goof off. (And I'd definitely never ever have the time to play WoW, god that game turned into such a time sink in TBC. Yeah it was bad near the end of pre-expansion but the insane crap they make you do in the new instances is just too time consuming.)

Re: Where are they now?
Yeah I picked up the Orange Box as well here a couple weeks back. Lot of my friends and guild mates are playing TF2, so it's a blast. Portal was very cool, but like you nag, I got a bit nauseous... which is a first for me in video games. Was mainly the level where you had to use gravity to launch you up to the next platform... my camera got turned so my guy would spin whenever I exited the portal launching me vertically... boy that was a headache. Wound up playing through HL2, HL2 episode 1 and 2 as well, and I must say I missed out when that came out. One of the best fps games I've played in a long time.
Kind of wishing I had the money for Command and Conquer 3 kind of miss having an RTS game to play.

Re: Where are they now?
I transfered Naturnix to Zangarmarsh to hang with the AI peeps.
But I havent played since my sub ran out in late september. I've been too busy with GoW, Halo III, and GH II and III.
Yes. I turned to the dark side and bought a 360.
A friend from long long ago is talking about playing WoW. IF she does, I'll probably get a subscription so we can hang out together there
From what I can tell, either way, you're screwed. Bad people are punished by society's laws, and good people are punished by Murphy's Law.

Re: Where are they now?
About a week before the expansion I re-rolled horde on nordrassil which was a BRAND new server. A year later Im still only 63 on my main(stopped playing for a while due to lack of internet and etc) which is an UD rogue, I also have a warrior, lock and shaman in their 30s. My toons on WW I all pretty much retired. But I wouldnt mind hopping on them every once in a while just to say hi to peps. If anyone is actually still interested in talking to me I may hop on my priest, Jedibean just to see how things are going sometime this week.

Oh, and the only thing I would have done differently is jumped my priest into the twisting nether as a symbolic gesture just before I quit. (I'm making a really cheesy reference here.)

Re: Where are they now?
Nice to see a Zang in here. Gonna try and get my mage to 67 this weekend. 66 definitely, 67 would be cool, if I can stay out of the ah.
