Re: External Hard Drive Recommendations
I went with a fanless Acomdata enclosure (dual port: USB 2 and Firewire) from NewEgg, and a new 320 gb drive. Next time, I may shoot for a 500 gb drive.

Re: External Hard Drive Recommendations
I'd go for a seagate or western digital drive, with some usb2 enclosure from newegg. That is the best way to go I think. Although I haven't had any problems with my LaCie BigDisk.

Re: External Hard Drive Recommendations
I just bough a Western Digital Mybook Studio. I haven't started using it yet, just plugged it in but it's silent - no fan - and if you have a G5 or a Macpro it fits lying behind the frontmost handle with the statuslight visible below it. This modelseries is rather new and Macusers are the primetarget sort of. The one I bought has Usb2, Fw800 and eSata.
Now, where in the name of... did I put that thing that I forgot what it was and why I was looking for it?
