Mail.app email preview?
I am looking for some piece of software or something that will give me a preview of new email I get. Entourage does it, but I prefer using Mail. In Tiger, I used to use Mail.Appetizer; it would bring up this little screen on the bottom right of my screen that would show me who the new email was from and the first few lines of the email. Unfortunately, I can't get it working in Leopard. Does anyone know of something that will give me what I'm looking for?

Re: Mail.app email preview?
The first thing I though of was Growl, but wasn't sure if they had an Apple Mail plug-in. I found this though:
http://growl.info/documentation/growlmail.php
Not sure if it works in Leopard, worth a shot though.

There's WideMail but I don't use Mail so I can't say if it's any good. I just remember seeing it somewherez.

Re: Mail.app email preview?
I thought of Growl too, but I've got it installed and set up but it doesn't work. I don't know if I have it set up wrong or it's not compatible with Leopard.
I do have WideMail but that's not what I'm looking for. I want something that will give a little notice or pop-up on my screen that will tell me when I have new email and tell me who it's from and the subject (no matter what application I'm currently using).

Ohhhh. Sorry. Misunderstood.
You're not using gmail or a google hosted mail server are you? Google Notifier does that quite nicely.

Have you installed the GrowlMail plug-in from the Extras folder? Growl works fine for me on Leopard, but I haven't tried GrowlMail.

Re: Mail.app email preview?
I use Gmail, but I wanted a little more flexibility than the Google Notifier allows. I installed the GrowlMail plug-in from the Extras folder, and everything looks right in the preferences, but for some reason it just doesn't work.
